Privacy policy
This policy explains what Zie Pie LLC ("ZiePie", "we") collects when you use this website and the ZiePie app at app.ziepieui.com, and what we do with it.
The short version
- Your business data never enters ZiePie. The designer works with sample data; you connect your real data in Power BI Desktop on your own machine.
- We store what you need an account for: your sign-in details, the reports and themes you save, your exports, and your plan and page balance.
- We do not sell personal data, show ads, or use your content to train models.
What we collect
Your account
- Your name, email address and a hash of your password (never the password itself).
- The name of your firm and the people you invite to it, with their roles.
- One-time sign-in codes we email you. Records of these are deleted after 30 days.
What you create
- Reports, themes, and any logos or images you upload.
- Exports. Export files are generated on our servers and kept for 30 days so you can download them again.
- Support requests and any files you attach to them.
Billing
Payments are handled by Stripe; card details never reach our servers. We keep your subscription status, invoice references, and a record of pages granted and used.
Automatically
- Server logs with IP address, browser type and request times, kept for 31 days for security and troubleshooting.
- An audit log of security-relevant actions in your firm — sign-ins and changes to reports, themes, users and settings — with the IP address stored only as a one-way hash. Kept for up to 365 days.
Cookies
The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to protect forms against forgery. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
How we use it
- To run the service and let you reopen your reports, themes and exports.
- To bill Pro subscriptions and page packs, and to track your page balance.
- To send the emails the service needs: sign-in codes, invitations, billing and balance notices, and support replies.
- To detect abuse and keep the service secure and available.
We do not use your reports, themes or logos to train models, and we do not share them with third parties.
Who we share with
Only the service providers needed to operate ZiePie: Microsoft Azure (hosting, database and file storage), Stripe (payments), our transactional email provider, and Google Fonts (this website’s fonts).
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your firm’s account is active, apart from the shorter periods above. To get a copy of your data or have it deleted, email support@ziepie.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK, California or another place with similar laws, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and complain to your data protection authority. Email support@ziepie.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorised staff.
Children
ZiePie is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post updates here and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect.
